The demo will take you through a series of screen shots showing the basic principles of the Solutions Console.

To start the demo, select the Next tab

Because the Solutions Console is so easy and install and use, this demo is very short. For more information, why not download and install the console!

The Solutions Console is accessed from the CA Gen Plug-in menu.

The Solutions Console is displayed when you launch it from the Gen plug-in menu.

The console uses a tree view containing the following sections:

• My Favorites - the installed plug-ins that you have promoted to this section.
  
• Installed Plug-ins - plug-ins that have been installed into the Solutions Console
  
• Other Solutions - other plug-ins available from QAT

You can quickly launch a plug-in by double-clicking on the plug-in in either the My Favorites or Installed Plug-ins section.

The console contains an optional Live Update feature that will refresh the list of available plug-ins. This ensures that the console is always up to date. Live Update can be configured to execute automatically or on demand by pressing the Live Update button on the toolbar.

If you have installed plug-ins into the Gen menu, these can be imported to the Installed Plug-ins section using the Import button. Plug-ins installed into the console can also be exported to the Gen Plug-in menu using the Export button.

To view details on a solution, navigate to the desired solution and click on it. The console then expands to show details on the plug-in and how to obtain it.

Each plug-in has its own page that provides an overview of the functionality, details on the latest version, vendor and links to the vendor's web site from where you can obtain further details and also obtain the plug-in software.
